Tarasul - Streamlining Internal Communication at MOFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Bahrain, responsible for managing the country’s international relations, needed a secure and efficient communication tool for internal use. The challenge was to create an app that would enable employees to send and receive messages, share files, and categorize messages by urgency and importance, all while ensuring confidentiality and ease of use for all staff members, regardless of their technical skills.
Project Overview
We started by understanding MOFA’s communication needs and security requirements. Our focus was to build an app that was user-friendly yet secure. We used Figma to design a clean, intuitive interface, ensuring the app would be easy to navigate for all employees. Flutter was used for app development to ensure compatibility across iOS and Android. To handle the secure processing of data, we used Node.js and MongoDB. Throughout the process, we prioritized encryption and strong security protocols to safeguard internal communications. We also added a feature to categorize messages based on urgency and importance, helping employees prioritize their tasks.
Project Outcome
The Tarasul app was successfully launched, with widespread adoption across MOFA. It improved internal communication, reducing response times and enhancing information flow. Employees found the app easy to use, which increased productivity by helping them manage and prioritize messages more efficiently.
